The uppers feature a lightweight and breathable woven mesh upper that's slightly thicker than the standard Evo SL with reinforcements that stretch out onto the upper that offers a more snug fit. The tongue is a little bit taller and the padding stretches further down to the eyelets. Where the Evo SL differentiates from the Evo 1 the most is the tooling, with carbon plates replaced by a top-loaded Torsion bar system which provides stability without the everyday compromises of a plated race shoe. Lightstrike Pro foam is carried across from the top-tier racer, providing the same fantastic energy return and cushioning properties which put it right at the top of industry standards.
